Applicants are Pre-screened

Applicants are heavily pre-screened to determine child care, transportation, skill levels, criminal history and overall job readiness. We see that an applicant has the necessary work documents such as a driver’s license, state identification card and social security card.

 

Free Long Term Support Network

Our professional staff of Training Consultants, Interpreters, Job Mentors, Job Coaches and Job Placement Specialists are available to employers to assist in mediation, interpretation, orientation, safety instruction and problem-solving issues.

 

Tax Incentives

Your business could qualify for certain tax credits when you employ applicants receiving public assistance.

The Minnesota Family Investment Program is a work program designed to reduce dependence on public programs and increase self-sufficiency in families.  Employers participate in the effectiveness of our goal by hiring our applicants and allowing them an opportunity to utilize their skills in the workplace.

We receive state and federal funding to operate our various employment service programs. Our ultimate program goal is to assist applicants to secure permanent employment and to provide quality support service to our employer partners. Our program utilizes funding to provide long term case management services, job skills classes and to subsidize wages and liabilities for the applicant during the applicant’s training period. We continue to receive this funding annually and we are always looking for new employer partners for our eager workers.

 

We Are Experienced

We have over 20 years of experience working specifically with the Supported Work Programs. Our program staff are knowledgeable of community resources available to assist applicants with their transportation, housing and childcare needs.  In addition, we have dedicated and experienced staff to work directly with employers. Employers can contact program staff at anytime for assistance. All staff have work cell phones and are able to come directly to the work site as needed.

Through our many successful years of program development, we have created a program to ensure successful job placements.  We are pleased to offer comprehensive long-term services to both the employer and employee.
